Raise My Taxes, Please!

Are your elected officials (local and federal) taking more of your pay check than you like? Then you need to let them know about it. You can’t just sit around and complain about it – you must take action. Taxes are increased because someone takes action and goes to those in office with a request for something that cost money and then they are promised votes in exchange for this new item. But we all pay for this additional item via taxes.

  1. If you are not registered to vote – REGISTER NOW! Politicians, for the most part, do not care about you - only your vote. If you are not registered to vote and you call or write them they will check the voter registration and if they don’t see your name, you will likely get no response.
  2. Write and call the people in office and tell them you expect to see them take an active and visible role in reducing taxes – or they don’t get your vote.
  3. Encourage every eligible voter that you know to do the same. Hand out sample letters so all they have to do is sign it and mail it.
  4. Educate every eligible voter that you know how to contact there elected official.
